Electronics Badge
Soldering

Alhamdulillah we completed our Electronics badge today ran by Sister Ayesha and her Dad .
A big thank you from the girl scouts team .

Reflection on completing this badge
Being able to solder lets you repair metal objects, make your own circuits and could even get you a job one day. It’s an example of a fine motor skill, as it involves working with small, fiddly bits and pieces in a precise way.

They started with a conversation on healthy habits, jotting down ideas and then delivering short presentations.

They then had a discussion on addictions and their detrimental consequences. They made posters in teams, which are informative as well as eye-catching, we re sure you'll agree!

Cambridge Trip

The Weekend Trip to visit the iconic Cambridge Masjid.

Arrived Friday evening and settled in at a local masjid where we had arranged the 2 nights of sleepover. Friday night a platter of various Pizza's, chicken nugget and accompanied with chips.

2.Saturday morning we started with Fajar prayers .
Had a quick healthy breakfast of toast ,fruit and cereal.

3.We hiked to a few iconic Cambridge spots named as one of the most beautiful in England.
We ended our first day hike by having a tour of the epic Eco Mosque of Cambridge.

Had a very enriching guided tour of the Mosque and got to know the contribution of The most remarkable community donation of Baraka Khan. She was described as an inspiring, intelligent and hard-working woman who studied at Cambridge University and raised £258,143.19 before she died, engaging 501 donors. She passed away at age 22 to lung cancer. They built a female-only balcony above the main worship area and dedicated this to her.

Duhar prayer was an unforgettable experience at the Eco mosque.

We were starved by this time and were treated with burgers and chips when back at the mosque.

Not to sit still we started another hike and visited all the colleges including Kings College.

Boba tea was exceptionally good considering we had been on foot all day .

It was dark now so we returned to the mosque for magrib and a delicious meal of chicken rice and salad all arranged beautifully by our explorer's .

Our feet were sore at this point but we wouldn't have missed our first ever night hike as scouts and in Cambridge too.

We had an incredible 3 hours of hiking at night followed by trip to the highest point in Cambridge.

Well only on Saturday we did more then 30,000 steps .

Come Sunday was punting for which we hiked again.
Also visited souvenir shops .

Rushed back to have last nights leftovers .

Made sure we left the mosque spotless .

Then it was time to say our goodbyes with dreams of many more such trips in the future
